5 Major Mistakes when applying moisturiser

5 major mistakes when applying moisturiser

Some of us apply moisturiser everyday some of us do it once every so often and some of us just don't bother by applying moisturiser it creates a smooth canvas for your make up.

Moisturiser keeps your skin healthy and nourished it also protects your skin. Especially during the winter time our skin lacks in moisture ,this is due to the fact that we don't secrete much sebum in lower temperatures hence why we moisturise ,the skin absorbs and locks in the moisture which keeps skin youthful.

(1) Amount

You don't need to cover your entire face in a massive blob of cream,by using way too much moisturiser it can clog up your pores and make your skin feel oily and greasy just use a little bit like the size of a contact lens.

(2) How We Apply It

Some of us when we apply moisturiser are gentle with our skin by gentle dabbing and patting the cream on our face but on the other hand there is some of use that are quite rough with our skin my rubbing hard on our skin by doing this it damages your skin, It causes irritation and even redness. The correct way is to gently tap and dab the moisturiser on your face starting at your t-zone and working outwards to your hairline and neck.

(3) Not letting it soak in

Okay surprisingly enough a lot of us just quickly apply moisturiser and apply the foundation on top straight away with out letting our skin to soak it in. So from now on bees apply your moisturiser go read a magazine , feed the dogs or even open up Twitter and have a little nosy to see what's happening in the Twitter world, doing this will allow time for your skin to soak it all in it also prevents your skin from looking oily and your make up really won't last long either.

(4) Eyes

A lot of use just don't bother putting moisturiser around our eyes just because it's such a sensitive area but some people might and they don't realise how careful they have do be due to how sensitive underneath your eyes are I would advise that it would be best to opt for an eye cream.

(5) Neck

Okay I'm going to own up here I very rarely apply moisturiser to my neck and décolletage but I really should, this is the area where ageing shows first so apply a good amount of moisturiser in this area using the tab and dab method that I advised above

I really hope bees that you found this blog update useful if you are looking for a good moisturiser I would recommend green angles daily moisture face cream or any of simple cosmetics range they have a wide variety available to suit different skin types and they are all available online the links will be added down below.

Until next time Bees
