I honestly can't believe it’s 2018 already 2017 just flew in! Have you begun planning your 2018 yet? I have, using my Leanún 2018 planner, I honestly thought I wouldn’t even get a blog post wrote this week lets just say it has been a long week and I’m exhausted. Anyway, that's enough about me today’s post is all about the Leanún 2018 planner which I’m absolutely in love with, the planner its self is a stunning mint green which is right on trend! I particularly like the rose gold detailing on the outer cover, who doesn’t love a bit of rose gold?
I thought this year why not try and set out goals for my self in relating to my blog and personal life, I seen the Leanún planner on Instagram and it was exactly what I was looking for, what made me buy it more than anything is that Leanún is an Irish brand founded in Ireland by three friends from cork! The planner is printed and produced here in Ireland, How brilliant is that?
Overall I was really impressed with the planner, at the start of each month you have a calendarwhich allows you to keep of anything that you may have planned for the up and coming month, each month starts off with an inspirational quote, a monthly budget tracker which allows you to take note of your savings and expenditure, as this planner is per a day planner you can track your schedule,to-do’s, personal goals . A great thing is the planner is wire-o binding which means it can lay out flat on your desk neatly making it easier to write and if you forget where you left off the planner also has a page marker so you can go right back to where you started.
The planner comes in two styles black & white or mint green as you can see from the picture’s above I selected the mint green, please note the mint green planner is currently out of stock on their website! https://leanun.ie/collections/all They also have diaries available on their website and meal planners so be sure to check them out also. I hope you liked this little review and I will go and let you get planning!

Until Next Time New York...
You guys it’s my very last day in New York and I am currently sitting in the airport writing this post due to a delayed flight, I'm so sad that it has come to an end! The past few days in New York have been rather exciting it is most definitely an experience I will always remember and certainly one that we don't want to end.
On day three we made our way to Central Park, thinking back on that day I remember the beauty of central park it is stunning, really peaceful and relaxing which is exactly what we did!! For a little while we chilled in the scorching sun and chatted. Whilst there we decided to check out the Central Park Zoowhich was $18 dollars each, It was quite nice but it was a lot smaller than I expected. Later on we made our way back to our hotel in Midtown and tried out a New York delicacy - a hot dog to be extra cautious we actually got one in our hotel (The Hilton Midtown) in a small but ideal restaurant called the Herb N’ Kitchen it was rather delicious so if you ever stay in the Hiltonbe sure to make a stop at the Herb N’Kitchen and try out their fries not only are the pizzas to die for the staff are also really friendly. Later that night we had plans to get the ferry boat past the statue of liberty but instead we decided to stay in and watch the new episode of ‘Games of thrones’.
The next morning, day four for breakfast we decided to eat at https://www.pret.com/en-us/find-a-pret, Pret a’Manger located a few minutes away from our hotel who use all organic food to create healthy and fulfilling snacks providing healthier option. After our stop off for breakfast we began our search for Bryant Parkduring our search we stumbled across the store ‘Best Buy’ where I picked up a few bits for my Mac book after that we continued our search for Bryant Parkwhich I must say is stunning and a lot smaller than I expected although it seems to be quite popular with numerous age groups ranging from teens to elderly and quite a few business people lounging having lunch and taking good advantage of the parks free wifi on their laptop’s. After we checked out Bryant parkwe made our way back to thehotel with a last stop at the Souvenir shop and the HBO Studio store before we got our bags and began our journey back to the airport. Just when we landed at the airport I received a text on my phone from Norwegian Air saying “Your flight has been delayed by three hours”, lets just say we were extremely pissed off but thankfully Norwegian Air gave us each an $11 Dollar food voucher for the delay!! When arriving it only made sense to ask the staff in the airport was there wifi?? Well there is but you only get 30 minutes free and once it is up you have to pay an additional fee! You can probably tell I was rather annoyed at the time but it could have been worse, I had figured something would've gone wrong along the way.
Over all I had such a great time and really enjoyed the experience, I hope sometime in the near future that I will be able to take another trip to New York as there is till more I would love to see and do. Keep an eye out for my next post which I will be discussing my haul from New York! I'm really looking forward to sharing it with you guys!
Until Next Time Bee's, Queen Bee.
I Made It To NYC....
I have made it to the BIG APPLE, I thought I would share what I've gotten up on my first two days here in New York City!! I actually didn't think I would be as tired as I am, the trip is pretty short only 4 days........ we probably should have booked it for so much longer but we have seen quite a bit of the city this past few days so here is a peek of what we got up to!!
We are staying in the Hilton Midtown on 6th Avenue - The Avenue Of The Americas which is pretty central and is surrounded in fun things to do. Overall I'm really impressed with the hotel as it has all the correct amenities on hand such as a little restaurant/shop, a travel, entertainment and tourism desk and a small but ideal souvenir shop. The staff are really friendly so if your stuck and are staying in the Hilton Midtown don't be afraid to ask questions because they even have a list made out with restaurant recommendations ranged from expensive, moderate and inexpensive. Oh the only thing I can fault is that they don't have a kettle in the room to make tea and you all know how us Irish people love our good cuppa morning noon and night!
Our very first day exploring the city the weather was not the best It rained all day and we got absolutely soaked so that put a downer on things but we managed to make it to times square and check out some of the shops on our way, we stopped at century 21 store which I recommend that check that out if you ever visit! I purchased a new handbag which ill probably include in my New York haul!!
On the second day we met up with my sisters friend from New Jersey which was quite an eventful day. We visited the Rockefeller centre the view from the top of the rock is incredible it literally is like something out of a movie it’s really surreal! We also went around some of the shops on fifth avenue ,Later on we attended the musical kinky boots on broadway which for me was a pinch me moment since I was little I always wanted to attend a broadway show if you ever want to see a broadway musical then I strongly recommend kinky boots the cast are unbelievable and the talent that they all have!! In the evening we went out for dinner to an Italian restaurant which was a 4 minute walk from our hotel its called Pazza Notte the food was yummy! I had the penne carbonara which was delicious.
Overall I have thoroughly enjoyed my trip to New York, travelling to the airport from where I live was an adventure in itself! I would've liked to have stayed longer and payed a visit to a different region of America but now I know for sure another American trip will hopefully be on the cards for the future. I enjoyed the experience and will never forget the views, landscape and never ending blaring wailing sounds of sirens or cars from am to pm. Be sure to pack some comfortable clothing such as shoes and plenty of suncream if hitting the apple during the sunny season, thats it for now Bee's I will be back again with a follow up post on my Sephora, Inglot and many other hauls.
I would lastly like to leave you with three fun holiday tips: 1). Pack lightly you will never know how much suitcase room is needed when your splashing some cash!! 2). COMFY, COMFY, COMFY, be prepared to walk to soak in the true experience. 3). Take plenty of photos, they last a lifetime and provide you with those delicate and exciting memories you shared with loved ones.
Until Next Time Bee's, Queen Bee
On the 4th of November I went on a little adventure with my dad and my sister, my sister & her friends were representing Ireland in the European youth awards 2015 for there mini company that they set up through foroige during transition year "Milseog Na Mara" they make desserts out of carrageen moss the chocolate mouse is to die for "A modern Twist on a old tradition"due to social media they were able to promote there business successfully. They have appeared on several Irish television shows ,Irish Radio Stations, magazines, local news papers and even blogs. My sister and her friends won the competition in Budapest and are now European Youth Entrepreneurs 2015.I will add in down below more details about there business and how to contact them. While they were competing in the competition we had the opportunity to go sight seeing around the city so here's a little blog post of how I got on.
Budapest is Hungary's capital and one of the largest cities in Europe. The architecture is incredible it's breath taking there is so much to do we only were staying for 3 days so here's a list of some of the things that we got up too.
Touring !!! (1) Sziget eye is located right in the city centre of Budapest it's like the London eye but not as big I mean it's tiny. We went on it at night and the views were just breath taking at one point I thought we were going to have press the emergency button because my aunt got a bit afraid no thanks to the help of my dad and my uncle. It's probably best if you do it during the day as you could get great pictures because it stops right at the top for a few moments.
(2)St.Stephan's basilica was just breath taking the detail in the architecture it's just amazing. Its really worth the visit you also get the opportunity to go to the very top of the tower but you have to pay for it I think it was about €3. the stairs were round and I got a little dizzy because you feel like you are going around and around for ever and ever and let's just say there is plenty of stairs to get you in shape ! Once you reach the top it's well worth it the view is just incredible it over looks the city(3rd highest building in Budapest) and I got to capture some great pictures. In the evening the basilica hosts a range of organ concerts.
(3) Fisherman's Bastion is incredible it's kind of like a Disney fairytale palace. The views were incredible it's worth the trip to see it and just walk around and take in the view. The bastion sits in a neighbourhood once known as Fisherman’s Town, which was the location of a fish market during medieval times, hence the name.
(4) Hop On Hop off City tour it was €20 this consisted of a day pass on the Hop on Hop off bus tour and a free pass for a boat trip on the river Danube which I will be discussing next. On the bust tour you get to see some of Budapest finest attractions such as the Hungarian Parliament building, Fishermans Bastion,Chain Bridge,Heroes square,St. Stephan's basilica,Royal Palace,Mattias church,National theatre,Margaret Island,Grand synagogue and the state opera house.
(5) Boat Tour of the river Danube gives you the opportunity to see the 6 bridges that cross the r Danube which are pretty incredible not to mention the chain bridge which only lifts open for a certain type of Boat well that's was a taxi driver told the other people that were with us. we went on the boat tour at night and it was just beautiful the parliament building at night is just beautiful all lit up I have a picture of it down below I also went to walk around it with my aunt and uncle later that night before we went to the gala of the competition and I must add that we all actually kind of all got distracted on the boat tour because that's when my sister & her friends rang to tell us all that they had won.
Food & Drink Okay I have to admit I didn't get the opportunity to try any of the Hungarian cuisine we were just so busy out and about touring the city that we didn't even think to try it but when we were hungry we just went to TGI Fridays for the first two nights and then on the third night we ate at the gala which actual was Hungarian food which I must say it was really nice. All the restaurants are opened till 12am which is really good because like your lucky to find somewhere open that late where I live in Ireland so I was kinda amazed by that okay I'm weird I know. You must remember I live in the middle of no where !! But I love it ! The night life in Budapest is pretty lively and our accommodation was in the heart of the night life I went out two nights with my dad, my aunt ,uncle and my sisters friends parents I did have 3 cocktails though I'm not really a drinker I'm just not into that scene at all. The cost of food and drink is really reasonable it also depends on what part of the city you are in.
Accommodation & Shops Our accommodation was excellent it was in the heart of city it was a 5 minute walk from all the shops, bars and restaurants. I didn't get to go to the open market that's in Budapest I didn't know where it was but it's meant to be really big. But I did see a few market stalls I actually bought a few presents for my mum they had beautiful Christmas decorations. I would also like to mention that the people were really friendly and if you needed help they would help you.
I hope you liked this little blog post I'm sorry if it's kind of all over the place I just didn't want to make it to long for you guys and I know it's been over due this blog post but I hope you enjoyed it and if you have any questions or anything don't be afraid to comment.
